Crested Wheatgrass
Crested Wheatgrass

Crested Wheatgrass is a long-lived perennial that is adapted to a wide range of soils, primarily in the northern and central Great Plains and the more arid intermountain region. It is most commonly used for pasture, hay, and conservation.

Perennial Ryegrass

Perennial ryegrass is a cool season perennial grass used in cool, temperate climates throughout the world. It has many worthy attributes and is considered the best overall pasture grass for many areas.

Annual Ryegrass

An extra leafy and highly palatable. It has quick establishment and very rapid regrowth for fall grazing;
it does not produce seed heads in the seeding year. Can be used in forage mixes as a nurse crop, as a break crop in potato rotations and as a green manure crop.

Carnival Tall Fescue

Demonstrates top yield, persistence and winter hardiness. High quality, medium-maturing forage with excellent adaptability to heat, drought, poor drainage and variable soil pH. Highly palatable, Carnival outyields other tall fescues in field trials across western Canada, including Courtenay, often considered to be a standard reference for persistence and yield in tall fescue.

Climax Timothy

Timothy (Phleum pratense L.) is a perennial, bunch-type, shallow-rooted, cool-season grass. Climax is a leafy variety that is rust resistant.

Carleton Smooth Brome

Dual-purpose grass, equally useful for hay and pasture. Brome is very high yielding, palatable, long-lived, resistant to drought and heavy grazing, and winter hardy, making it the basic ingredient in all mixtures for hay and pasture.

Fleet Meadow Brome

This fast-recovering pasture grass offers better performance all through the grazing season. It’s a new forage variety especially developed for cold conditions.
